Dick And Fart Jokes

If you don't know who Joey Manley is, he would be the equivalent of a govenor in the land of webcomics. He governs the webcomicsnation. Yesterday, he laid this bomb on the webcomics community. In short, the web comics being made, are primarily full of dick and fart jokes, and he doesn't like it. His assertion is "we" need to elevate our craft, to a level of high sophistication. Like Beetle Bailey or Nancy I guess. You know, the kind of cartoons the intelligent and brilliant read. Therein lies the problem Mr Manley. Those people think you're beneath them. We are the retards, and you are their King.
Jeff Knooren has been a professional software and website developer for over 8 years. Working in leadership roles for political candidates, b-list musicians, and fortune 1000 companies. His expertise in product design, web development, and eCommerce, combined with his skill in drawing and animation, have lead him to create his own line of cat furniture called Super Unit 5000, and his own brand of eccentric entertainment.

[…] This touches tangentially on the current Joey Manley-centered shitstorm regarding dick and fart jokes. I’ll save you some time: every prominent name in the first hundred posts or so says precisely what you’d expect; late in the game, Maritza Campos, Jin Wicked, and Jeph Jacques make some calm, rational points. If you’ve had your fill of webcomics drama for the week, feel free to skip the ManleyMillikinKurtzG fest-o-fun. Now let’s wander a little further afield, ‘kay? Over at A murder of crows (side note: I love the entire notion of “term for a plural group of animals”; if you see R Stevens or Jon Rosenberg at I-CON this weekend, ask ‘em what the plural term for “webcartoonists” is), there’s a new piece about Hurricane Joey. And it links a second piece about us. […]
Sorry, I’ve got nothing else to say about this topic, it’s stupid and a waste of time to continue talking about it.
Why quote that whole Fleen thing in the first comment above?
Where it says “Fleen >> From Zero…”? That isn’t a quote that I made. That’s the Fleen website, referencing my post. I think that’s called a “trackback”. You can turn them off or delete them, but I never did. I’m not being sarcastic, but does it matter?
