I have no affiliation with this company and am working hard to have my name removed. I know you only cut and paste from a different website. If you could remove my name that would be great. Thanks here are official sites i have verified.

    [Removed by Site Owner]

I will be posting some articles about how this is happening more and more with people names on google. I can add a link to your site about how you helped out. Anyway thanks again.

  2. Jeff Knooren on January 6th, 2007 11:11 pm

I don’t know you personally. These are the words of a 3rd party. I will not comply with the request to remove your name. You made mistakes, I’m sorry. But accept that responsibility and don’t repeat them.

PS: Those hyperlinks you provided have been removed. I will NOT allow you to spam my site with your latest promotions.

I became suspicious of TooSpoiled when once again I had to go thru endless surveys just to fill out a job app. It was the same set up as a previous “too good to be true” job offer I had rec’d. I am registered with CareerBuilder. I now know that each time the emailheader says “careers” instead of CareerBuilder it is another scam offer. Educational Direct is in on it. The “survey” asks if you paid for your education with loans and how much you still owe. Educational Direct is the advertiser on these pages. I fell for Educ. Direct along time ago and they screwed me. I ended up with a higher interest rate than my previous lender - despite promises that I was qualified for a lower rate - which I thought was thru them (Educ Direct). Next thing I know, my account is with Sallie Mae at 6.5% and they have no idea what Educa Direct “told me”, just that they now have my account and that is the rate I must pay.

I was contacted by toospoiled.com. The e-mail said the saw my resume online and I was highly qualified for their offered position. I thought about the opportunity and I filled out the application. After I submitted my app I looked it up just in case. I got kinda worried.(I did put my resume on the application.) Do you think I have anything to worry about?

  5. elizabeth on April 6th, 2007 7:21 pm

Jessica, you’re smarter than me, I actually sat through an hour-long “training call”, apparently involving a number of other people who I wasn’t able to hear or speak to throughout it. I have an email address set up with Too Spoiled and am apparently supposed to start work. I’ve gone through my “account” with them and changed all my info to some made up stuff, and haven’t provided any financial information, but I’m not sure what to do from here.
But don’t worry - you’re certainly not alone!

  6. Jeff Knooren on April 7th, 2007 1:42 am

Reporting these nefarious activities to government agencies sounds like a good idea. But I personally don’t think any government agency will do anything to help. All they seem to do, is compile these complaints into statistical reports no-one actually sees. No-one in danger of falling victim to the scams hears about it.

The only way ’something’ will be done, is if people get the word out about what is going on. Everyone gets to my site, by searching for information on toospolied.com. I’m astonished they give you fake info… man, this company makes me sick.

  7. Bryan Pearl on April 11th, 2007 4:09 pm

I went all the way with impact world wide, which now i find that is a fraud and also known as this too spoiled company. i stopped doing anything for them just on a gut feeling that this is a scam. then monthes later i receive an invite to too spoiled. thank you for this informational blog and informing hopeful job applicants.

  8. Amanda on April 23rd, 2007 4:07 am

Always report fraud…just got an email solicitation from toospoiled.com - just doesn’t look legit.

  9. Robin on April 28th, 2007 8:52 pm

Well, I feel like a fool now. I should have known it was a scam and I was suspiscious, but I’ve been so busy with my current work that I didn’t check them out.

I did the informational call, started the training call for Casting Manager, and lost cell coverage. Then I went into the website they set-up and created my profile. I have not given any personal information yet, except I did order business cards with my credit card. I better go check my account.

I’m so glad I took the time tonight to do research.

    Thank you.

[EDITOR: I hope this is a serious post. You left a toospoiled URL and that’s suspicious, so I removed that - Jeff Knooren]

So damn unfortunate I didn’t look into it beforehand. Now, I’m wondering about what will happen to the talents I recruited and had them register with the TooSpoiled website. These talents had to give away their credit card information to receive bookings for particular jobs. I’m just saddened their dreams were being toyed with by this TooSpoiled scam. I need to find a way to make things right for the talents and hopefuls that I’ve talked with.

  11. lafwitme on May 9th, 2007 4:22 pm

Got an email after posting a Resume on Careerbuilder.com. I’ve heard about these things but never got an email about it. What a scam.

  12. AnonPoster on May 14th, 2007 8:14 am

They sent me an email to try and hire me as a Talent Manager; mind you I have never worked in a talent industry before; I am purely real estate and computer networking so I ran some information on them found this site and the BBB.org site and they have 43 complaints against them; there site toospoiled.com is hosted on Rackspace one of the largest managed dedicated hosting companies on the internet; I highly recommend you petition to Rackspace at abuse@rackspace.com to shut down there domain name.

  13. Jason on May 14th, 2007 8:48 am

I received an email from them asking me to apply for their “site moderator” position where I could work from home. I actually replied to the email asking for more infomration and to see who replied and in what fashion.

I will let you know what I find out.

    ..be bold

  14. Anonymous on May 14th, 2007 9:50 am

Just filled out the Job Application by Too Spoiled. Regretting it now. But I for sure won’t waste my time with the phone call for the interview when it comes!! Whats sad is this Too Spoiled now has links for when you google it to counter the fraud charges against them. Making them sound really legit. Hope they don’t take my idenity. Has anyone had them do this yet??

  15. Jimmy on May 15th, 2007 4:13 pm

It was pretty easy spotting this one as a fraud… no one would hire my ass. Nice thread.

  16. Autumn on May 21st, 2007 4:32 pm

I just received an email from toospoiled myself. I am registered at careerbuilder so they must have got my info there. It says they want me to be a “Site Moderator.” Working from home making a “highly competitive salary” and getting “Full Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance benefits” sounded too good to be true. I am glad I looked into it first and found your site. Thanks for posting this information for us. :)

  17. Mike on May 23rd, 2007 7:02 am

Thanks for informing those of us who don’t have the time, nor the knowledge to fully investigate suspicious sites. You were a great help in keeping me from giving Too Spoiled my information.

  18. Matt on May 28th, 2007 5:25 am

Hey, I just “applied” for one of their positions thinking it was a legit solicitation through careerbuilder.com. I didn’t give out any personal info that wasn’t already on my resume, should I be worried? Has anything happened to anybody else? Please e-mail me @ cliffordmanning@gmail.com. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

  19. Fozzy Da Bear on May 29th, 2007 7:35 am

Can you believe that Mike Fromkin up there is trying to wash his hands of any asscociation with Too Spoiled. I actually got my letter from too spoiled after signing with Monster.com. I applied for the posistion online, but it didn’t actually confirm that my application was sent. They sent me to some advertisement after clicking submit for my resume. Then they just called me today. Saying to go to their website to finish completing more information. They were going to hire me for a Customer Service Rep. One thing I noticed that was fishy about this company right away was that you couldn’t find out what the job description was about on there website. Most places are pretty detailed about what you are going to be doing in there company. So I didn’t leave any of my important info.

  20. Amy on May 29th, 2007 7:47 am

So, I too received these emails. I applied for the job, but never gave them any more info than already stated on my resume. Should I be worried about identity theft?

Thanks in advance, and thanks for this site!

  21. Fozzy Da Bear on May 29th, 2007 7:49 am

One more thing here’s a number that they called me from 1-213-325-3206. Ask for Jeff or Sasasha. I’m pretty sure this is located in L.A., California.

  22. Chris on May 30th, 2007 8:28 am

Wow I feel like a complete idiot now. I cannot believe I fell for this scam. I sent in my W9’s and completed an online profile with TooSpoiled as well. I should have listened to my gut and I will learn from this mistake. I thought the hour long training call was a little strange and the fact that I haven’t received my “business cards” after 3 weeks is a little off. I really don’t know how the whole scam business works but how can they employ all of these people and not pay them and then maintain the website? I just don’t understand how they’re getting away with it. It’s pretty much thievery isn’t it?

    Chris

  23. Chris on May 30th, 2007 8:33 am

Jeff I am ‘inside’. Is there a way I can talk to you in private? I am really pissed off right now and I will help out in any way to prevent this from happening to other people. Thanks

    Chris

  24. Chrissy on May 30th, 2007 12:12 pm

Got an email from them and WorldVoiceNews both are scams so beware! I always recommend checking out job offers, even legit sounding ones, there are a couple of “insurance” companies that scam people to when hiring.

  25. Scott on May 30th, 2007 3:47 pm

I am not sure why there is so many “bad” reports on toospoiled. I have been a member of this company for over 3 months now. I have had no bad dealings with the company at all. I researched on the BBB website, and while I saw a few bad things, every company has bad reports on them. So I went through training, became a scout manager, and have gotten paid every time I was supposed to.

  26. Chris on May 31st, 2007 10:27 am

Ok get real. Don’t try to save it from getting a worse reputation then it already has. If you really are an employee and you really do get paid then why are you on this message board? Why would you even bother coming to this site? Do you have that much pride about working for a company you’ve been with for 3 months? I can’t even talk to an actual “TooSpoiled employee” over the phone and hear their voice. I am going to do everything in my power to make other job seekers and other people in general aware of the BBB and TooSpoiled.

  27. Scott on May 31st, 2007 12:06 pm

I can give you a contact number for the senior manager at the company, as I do have a contact number.

  28. tina on June 1st, 2007 3:02 pm

their #’s they call from are 213-325-3206 and also 213-325-3205 if they take my info they’d be sore disappointed- creditors would laugh at them

  29. Scott on June 1st, 2007 5:16 pm

Wow, to be honest, I dont have either of those numbers. I have several others, but not those.

  30. Joan on June 2nd, 2007 9:31 pm

Hey, I feel real stupid and crappy right now. I did think it was too good when I got the email from TooSpoiled. But I still went ahead and did the training. I even prolonged sending my W9 in. I hope nothing bad happens. But this is not right. Something should be done about this. I didn’t order the cards because I was still suspicious about it. I tried to dig but couldn’t find much on them until now. Thanks for the heads up. Let me know if you find something else!

  31. Anonymous on June 4th, 2007 12:44 pm

I too went to a training for Customer Service in the Orlando Office they are really ripping innocent people off.I then learned that they also have people working in India as well I was there for two day training.I realized that Alec was feeding us lies.He told everyone in the room that we were being hired for veri resume another one of there sites.I have the complete training manual these are the companies that are under one roof. World Voice was once USA Voice,Too Spoiled.com same people that were involved in the Impact modeling scam. Also Eband.com,Internet Solutions.EPoker.com the guy posted an ad on Monster and after calling me I went in.I knew from the start it was a scam they dont even have a phone at the front desk. Also they have offices on the 3rd floor which is the call center yet he is located on the 4th floor with a company name that moved out the building.I asked how come your are under another company they made up so excuse that they have not had a chance to take the old company that moved logo off the door.It is like BellSouth moving and Sprint moving in and keeping BellSouth name, what legit company would not have a phone in the office and have a call center hidden.
He then told us that we would not be working for veri resume but his company.Totally a scam you advertise that you need customer service reps for one company but give all these people your companies to work for.I advise you to get out and stay away from these people they even took my social security card and I have to go back the next day into there Orlando Office to pick it up I then left and never came back they cut and paste information for other sites from India I was there two days and saw enough to run.Do your research before you go and work for a company don’t fall into a situation like I did.

  32. anne on June 5th, 2007 4:20 pm

Thanks all for the head’s up- I have the call scheduled for tomorrow and will definitely not waste my time!!!

  33. Jeannie on June 6th, 2007 12:35 pm

I received one of their letters as well after posting my resume on CareerBuilders.com… after everything I have been reading online, I am SO glad I did a little research as it looked “too good to be true”.
The link they provide in the e-mail had numbers in it that reminded me right away of a affiliate type scam where the person that “sent” me would probably get credit if I joined up. Notice they mention SALARY, not commission. Also, why are they having people filling out W-9 forms?

You know when a company has to put up a website that defends itself against all the sites telling me they are a scam, that something is just not right with them!

here is the letter I got:

I came upon this site when looking up information on TooSpoiled. I had received an email (today) about a job opportunity. After reading over all of the comments and checking the BBB report I have opted NOT to apply. I appreciate all of the information that your site and it’s readers have offered.

I also came upon another link that disputes any & all negative comments about their site and thought I’d include it below so that people would be aware that someone is trying really hard to prove that all of this is untrue. (Good luck with that!)
    http://www.thetruthabouttoospoiled.com/

IRONICALLY when I came back to your site I saw the latest post dated today and thought how funny because it was almost identical with mine. THANKS AGAIN for making the public aware of such scams!!!!!!!!

  35. stargazer7 on June 6th, 2007 5:57 pm

Oh my God. I got an “invitation” to join toospoiled.com today and it really creeped me out. I have been told I should model before and suddenly I got this message on myspace out of the blue. I didn’t apply on anything for modelling or a job online ever in my life. And this guy was like “I like your pictures” and it was creepy because the guy was in his late 40’s or something in his picture so my first thought was Oh my God this guy is sick. Eventually I realize it was a scam but my friends and I laugh about it. I laugh even harder since it was that Micheal guy. I went through myspace and found his “alleged” page campaigning the same crap. I’m so glad I did not sign up for anything or even click the link I checked out the site later after I logged off by searching the site directly. The only problem is my friends are after me again to model! Oh well I hope they catch the scum who waste their time on this crap and make people aware of how crappy it is!

  36. Jeff Knooren on June 6th, 2007 10:41 pm

Stargazer, age has nothing to do with it.

  37. JAZ on June 7th, 2007 2:07 pm

I got an email from good ole “Bethany” (if she even exists) a couple of weeks ago to apply for a Site Moderator position for toospoiled. I filled out the online application, but was suspicious because I got page after page of questions about college loan consolidation, which I didn’t fill out (but I still got calls on the phone from loan consolidation companies anyway, within 2 days….plus emails. I told all of them I never applied to work with them, and if they didn’t leave me alone I’d report them. Haven’t gotten a call since). So out of the blue I got a call from someone who I could barely understand, saying he was from toospoiled, and wanted to do a phone interview right then. I was waiting for another (legitimate) phone interview, so he said he’d call back some other time. That’s when I started hunting for info about toospoiled, and came across this site. Glad I won’t waste my time on this company, thinking it might have been something real.

  38. stargazer7 on June 7th, 2007 8:35 pm

i realize it has nothing to do with it but being in my early 20s and seeing a picture of someone who could be my father saying i like your photos…pretty creepy to say the last

  39. Jeff Knooren on June 8th, 2007 12:17 pm

You know what’s creepy? Young girls who like older guys are creepy. What’s that all about?

  40. Worried on June 10th, 2007 3:07 pm

You know what I went through with TooSpoiled for about a couple months. Wasn’t paid the money that I worked for and then I quit. Didn’t know it was a scam. I then spoke with a talent scout and we did a photo shoot together and it was so shady…. They took pictures with our driver’s license and everything. What should I do. Both their phone numbers are either not recieving phone calls or are disconnected.
    What should I do?

  41. Jeff Knooren on June 10th, 2007 11:27 pm

I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Photographing the licence is a standard way to verify age. Next time, I would work out your payment terms so you are paid in full immediately after the shoot. Do NOT sign a release, until you are paid.

  42. Anna on June 12th, 2007 11:30 am

So is it even safe to look for a job these days?

  43. very upset on June 14th, 2007 8:09 am

I got an e-mail from them saying I was offered a casting manager job and I honestly didn’t think is a scam. They said I got the job and did a conference call. There is supposed to be a training call now.I thought it was strange but didn’t think twice until I got an e-mail for a job from adminsoultionsgroup same everything last night! Same type of format letter and same login and password. This threw up the red flags immediately.Same type of response by e-mail at 4 am in the morning saying that I needed to fill out some more pertinent information.I wanted to check to see if this was real or fake but now I know with all these posts. Now I am not sure what kind of info they have on me or what they can do now.I feel very stupid and upset.THey are cruel to do this to people!!

  44. Sarah R. on June 15th, 2007 11:07 pm

Well, I fell for it too. How retarted; I get my hopes up thinking I may have actually been contacted to have an actual emplyment opportunity. And then I go to toospoiled’s webpage, which is very shady. However, I don’t think there is too much to worry about from this website. It seems to me they are more about spamming than anything else. After seeing the website however, I became rather suspicious.

[I had to remove the original email you posted, because the spam filtering for this blog won’t allow it, but thanks for your input - Jeff Knooren]

  46. John on June 19th, 2007 10:00 am

Mike Fromkin!!!! If his name pops up with ANY job opportunity, don’t answer it! I worked for Impact 210 when the company started. I am still owed $1500 and was threatened with legal action for harassment when I kept calling and asking for it!!!!! I laughed! Fromkin is a moron with no business sense. He likes to make a quick buck, then run when money runs out! I had my check bounce on more then one occasion and was handed cash. Employee’s couldn’t even cash his checks at a check cashing place because he was blacklisted for so many outstanding bounced checks.

He offers a service that anyone can do on their own and not spend a dime. He steals a lot of his “jobs” from other sites. He pays to view companies postings and claims they are his “insider” exclusive postings. Good luck getting paid! I was there for a few months and finally walked out. I told all my “former” clients the truth about the place.

    The guy is scum!

  47. John on June 19th, 2007 10:02 am

    April,

the only thing that Fomkin can do is help you build up debit!

Yeah about the truth about Too Spoiled site! He did that at Impact 210. He was always worried because his site never showed up, just all the bad scam info about him. His business url showed up on like the 5th page.

  49. Rachel on June 19th, 2007 5:15 pm

I love Toospoiled and have been booked on quite a few jobs. Sounds like some people have their panties in a bunch.

  50. Cola on June 20th, 2007 12:36 pm

Im a talent scout and I get paid. I’m not sure what’s wrong with the rest of you but the site is legite.

  51. Anonymous on June 26th, 2007 10:26 am

Hmmm! I have had this same email from too spoiled! I had a feeling that it was a b.s. scam.

First of all you can’t find any information on who runs the company at there website. Any reputable company always will have their corporate information listed.

Second there is no phone numbers listed. This brings up a little more concern So I take a little stroll on the interenet Highway to find out what is out there on this company and I find all these posts talking about what a scam it is. Yeah and the job they were offering me was an accounting job. I have been in sales manangement not accounting. That was my other clue when they said they had read my resume.

I would like to point out that they have an address listed on there website for California not New York as I read someone else stating. It would be pretty clear from this many people that this company is nothing more than a scam.

  52. Janet Wagner on June 27th, 2007 7:17 am

Wow this too spoiled place is really stupid to keep doing this stuff over and over again getting new people to actually think that they are really something. I had gotten an email back wanting me to do that 1 hour conference call but since reading all your comments im just gonna ignore all the other emails I have gotten from them and the ones that I will get in the future. Wow im glad I looked this stuff up before I went ahead and wasted my time.

    Thanks again,

    Janet

  53. Christina Hall on July 2nd, 2007 10:00 am

hmmm…I got one from ‘Mike Thompson’ today. I wonder if that’s anything like ‘Mike Fromkin’?…sure sounds similar!

Yes, they got my resume off of Career Builder as well.
It sounded fishy, so I googled it and landed here.
Needless to say, I won’t be replying to this one.

    Thanks for the helpful information!

  54. Jack on July 7th, 2007 11:51 am

I found your site googling for veri resume. I was contacted by a “Scout2007″ and then later contacted by veri resume to ask a few personal questions and then I was to go to a web site to give information.
Seemed a bit off to me so began the search.
I received an email from Scout2007 (careers@scout2007.net)about seeing my resume on Monster and asking if I was interested in a technical manger’s position. I replied with professional credentials and was later contacted by veri resume (phone) to pass a verbal screening and then I was directed to a Web site.
Is this part of the same SCAM?

Wow, to think that I actually believed the load of bull shit that they fed me, and I was happy about it too. I got an email, stating that I was a perfect candidate for the Site Moderator position, and the pay rate was 22.50. Now I have done mdoerating for pay and non-pay, and most legit companies fork over anywhere between 10-18 bucks an hour for moderation, I have done that kind of job.

So I applied, but my application was rejected at the second stage, I do not know how, as I have over two years worth of professional moderation. But needless to say that I was a perfect match for their scouting position. I even booked the confrence call which lasts about 90 minutes. But when I wanted some detail in what an Online Scout does, their website provided zilch.

Deciding to google toospoled I landed here, and reading some of the comments, I know one person that will not be attending the 90 minute conference call.

Thank you for helping me stay away from a scam.

So I received the whole scam thing from 2 sites and actually received a phone call from one of them today. Fortunately, they called my home number and my mother passed along the message to me and when I tried to call the number (213) 325-3205, no one answered nor did they have an answering machine, which caused me to consider how legit the company actually was. I decided to google the number and found the area code to be in Los Angeles, California and then found this site and I am so happy that I did because I might’ve ended up being scammed. I am copying and pasting the emails that I received below. I am really appalled that this occurs when placing a resume on one of these career sites. I hope that no one else buys into these scams and that they found this site or another exposing it before it is too late.

[Rachel, I appreciate the post. However, I had to delete the posting of the email you received. I’m sure you just want to help out, however the email just contains links back to the scam artists. In fact, I’m turning off the comments for this post entirely. - Editor]
