Wikipedia officially thinks webcomics aren't worth mentioning. I understand why Wikipedia has notabilty requirements; To stop the encyclopedia becoming so clogged with crap about people's pet dogs and best friends that it beomes impossible to find anything relevant.

DJ Coffman: I went to link the Yirmumah Wikipedia today and noticed like many other webcomics it's been deleted as non-notable. I've requested that it be put back up, because surely it is notable in some way.

For whatever reason, they'll delete webcomic entries. Yet, details on TV shows and fictional characters are listed. Go look up something like Battlestar Galactica, and you can find detailed, per episode breakdowns and fictional biographies. The Sci-Fi channel has many websites already dedicated to being a compendium of information on their shows. Why is this okay to be on the wikipedia, but webcomics are not?

You wouldn't want to run out of room in a virtual library right? There seems to be no rationale behind it. Why would someone hunt around for articles to delete? It seems rather pointless to spend hours crafting character bios and detailed explanations, when someone can just come along and erase it from history. When your editorial board consists of the entire planet, it seems absurd to expect any consistency on this point. This stinks of politics.

Yirmumah has been on hiatus for quite a while. I took it upon myself to hijack DJ Coffmans characters, and do some fan art. This is the third installment of my four part mini-series.

Alec Baldwin has a Kuato

A Super Unit Recap:

  • The first comic reveals Alec Baldwin had some celebrity dirt tossed into the internet laundry machine, he's got to take any work he can get now. He's been D-Listed to a 'secret judge' for the Comic Book Challenge.
  • He is then star-struck by Drew Price, the King of Webcomics. Alec asks Drew to sign his boobies. Alec Baldwin has pretty much made a career out of being perfect. But sweet Jesus, he's hairy! For good measure, I've drawn him with a third nipple.
  • Which brings us to this installment of Drew Price repeating "Naked Bea Arthur" three times, ala Beetlejuice which Alec Baldwin starred in. To further damage Baldwins' perfect appearance, he has a Kuato! This is sounding like a comic drawn by Dennis Miller. Please stop me, before I sub-reference again.

I offer this solution. Take all the webcomics, print them out, and throw them on a bonfire. All the ones which are truly *valid*, which truly *mean something*, will obviously be spared, and thus will be preserved. Or, go to the Comixpedia.org site instead.
