The candidates will have to decide where they stand on the issue of universal health care. Currently, it is being pushed aside by immigration and the War. True universal health care would involve the abolishment of the employer based system, and force every citizen into using the same health care options afforded to all. The problem with Universal Health Care, as I see it, whose clothes will it be wearing? The socialist cloak or the capitalist trousers.

universal health care nonsense

Politicians will present socialized medicine in a three tier structure, part of which will be subsidized by the US government. One level of care for the poor, funded directly by the government; One for the working class, funded partly by the government; Another for the upper classes, not funded by US taxpayer money. The poor will get minimal care at minimal cost funded by taxpayers. The politicians can't be trusted with such large infusions of cash from the taxpayers without diverting some, if not large amounts, of that money to other areas of expenditures.

This will lead to increased taxes upon the middle and the upper class, but the largest burden by far will fall upon the working class. This country will then be socialized when it can claim better than 50% of the taxpayer’s income. Many foolishly think this will force the rich to "pay their fair share" but in reality, it will claim far more money from the working class. The so called rich will shelter their income from taxes leaving the working class as the suckers and the slaves of the politicians. This solution is incorporated into the definition of a socialized society.

Your personal lack of expendable wealth soon becomes sub par education, then lack of affordable health care. Then nutritious foods become scarcer and more expensive. Then even that bad food gets too expensive for you to afford. Then available housing becomes scarce. It's been happening in the United States for a long time… some of things I mentioned above are true already, some are not, but they are all part of the same continuum, and guess where the trend is heading?

I think we will see the three tiered system I have outlined above that will undoubtedly create three levels of primary health care in the US. Because it will retain private insurance for the mega insurance companies, satisfy the Healthcare practitioners. Once again, the US will have a shirt, but no trousers.
